SCRIP NEWS!
Greetings from the Scrip office! Just a reminder to order scrip each week! It doesn’t cost you a thing – just order what you would normally spend getting groceries, going out to eat and filling up your vehicles with gas. 40% of Scrip profits are designated for Sacred Heart School!! Other profits go towards the religious education program and the parish.
Check out all the retailers we have on the order form – we have lots of great businesses – please support them!

Scrip and bad weather:
The weather can affect the Scrip program too. Here is the bad weather policy:

2 hour delay on Tuesday: We will still process Scrip orders on Tuesday, but will wait until the school day starts. The delay will most likely mean the Scrip will not arrive and be sent home until Friday.

School is cancelled on Tuesday: We will wait until the next day school is in session and process Scrip orders. Orders will then be sent home 2 days later.

School is cancelled Thursday: Orders will be filled and sent home the next day school is in session.
(All of the above also apply to anyone picking up orders at the rectory)

IMPORTANT DATES:

We will be placing another monthly Scrip order on Tuesday, December 2nd. This will be the ONLY order we place in December so please plan ahead for your holiday gift giving needs.

There are only 4 weeks this year between Thanksgiving and Christmas, so start stocking up on your scrip now!

We are in the Jubilee entrance BEFORE and AFTER all weekend masses. We will have copies of the national retailer list at masses for you to take home. If you would like to order anything from the national list, please write it on your order form and we will order it December 2nd.

Thanks to everyone for making this transition of the Scrip program such a success!! We've been selling tons of Scrip on the weekends and we hope people like the changes.
If you are interested in helping sell Scrip on the weekends, we'd love to hear from you!! Even committing to one weekend each month would greatly benefit the program.

IMPORTANT SCRIP INFORMATION

Tuesday, October 7th will be the ONLY opportunity to place an order in October. Orders need to be at the rectory by 9:00am Tuesday and can be picked up after 1 on Thursday or at mass next weekend.

Look for us BEFORE all masses each weekend. We will be in the Jubilee entrance 30 minutes prior to mass time. We will make every effort to keep the pantry stocked, but there will be times we may run out of things, so please be patient!

If we don't have what you're looking for, you can always place an order the first Tuesday of each month. We will order again Novemner 4th!

Make sure to plan ahead for Christmas......there are only a few weeks this year between Thanksgivng and Christmas so make sure you order early to make sure you have what you need in time for your holiday gift giving.

Hello!
I hope everyone had a great summer....now it's back to work.

There are some big changes coming with the Scrip program. Beginning September 6th, we will be selling Scrip BEFORE all masses every weekend. We will still keep taking orders on Tuesdays and sending home on Thursdays from now until September 30th. Beginning in October, we will no longer be taking orders.....WE WILL ONLY BE SELLING BEFORE MASSES EACH WEEKEND. Now, with that being said, if you need to place a large order....more than $500, please let the Scrip office know at least a week in advance and we can place an order. We will also plan to place a MONTHLY order the first Tuesday of each month just in case we don't have what you need at mass.
More information on these exciting changes will be coming home in the next few weeks!

Office Closing dates for summer break

The Scrip office takes the month of July off for summer break. The last Tuesday we will be taking orders is June 24th.

The Scrip office is now operating our summer hours.
Orders need to be at the rectory by 9:00 Tuesday mornings...NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!!
Orders can be picked up on Thursdays after 12:00pm.
The rectory is open 9-4 Monday-Friday.
You can throw your orders in the rectory mailbox or even into the collection during Sunday masses.

Sorry the website has not been updated for so long. We've had some "technical difficulties" that are finally worked out!

SCRIP NEWS:
Now through May 6th, each week you place a Scrip order, your name goes into a drawing for the chance to win a $20 Kwik Star card! We will draw 3 winners (one per household). And who couldn't use a card to gas up their car?!

Remember Scrip when planning your summer travels. Gas cards, fast food, Wal-Mart....all are great to keep on hand as you hit the road.

Also know that after Thanksgiving, scrip orders will be sent home on Fridays as the national supplier no longer guarantees 2 day shipping. The 2 weeks before Christmas, orders may not be ready until the following Monday. Our scrip is sent to us by plane, so remember that bad weather can always cause an extra delay in getting our scrip on time.

Scrip orders have been very low the last few months. I’d like to remind you that the Scrip program has the potential to generate thousands of dollars for Sacred Heart School, Religious Education programs and the parish. Please consider adding Scrip into your monthly or weekly budget. If each family would order just enough in gas cards for the month, our profits would be much higher. The program already generates about $10,000 a year, with an average of just 40 families placing orders each week. Think about what we could do if everyone ordered even $20 a week in Scrip. I am always looking for ways to improve the program and welcome your suggestions. Please call me with any ideas.

We will be selling Scrip again at masses on the 10th and 11th. Look for us in the Jubilee entrance.

Wal-Mart will be back in stock the 6th. I believe we will sell out of the cards that week. We will fill as many orders as we can, but we only have $2700 to work with. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

THE SCRIP OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED NEXT WEEK FOR THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY. WE WILL BE BACK IN THE OFFICE ON TUESDAY THE 29TH. HAVE A SAFE AND BLESSED THANKSGIVING.

We will be selling Scrip at masses this weekend, the 19-20th. Look for us in the Jubilee entrance. Please remember Scrip when beginning your Christmas shopping!!!

We are still out of Wal-Mart. You will be able to order Wal-Mart again the first week of December (the 5th). We suggest ordering that week as our supply goes very fast this time of year. We will try to fill all the orders and send a note home as soon as it is gone. If you send in an order for Wal-Mart and we are out.....we will contact you to see if you'd like a refund or would like to order other Scrip. Reminder: We are out of Wal-Mart scrip for the month of November. We will have Wal-Mart again the first week of December.

Please remember Scrip when starting your holiday shopping. JC Penney and Kohls cards can used to pay on your charge accounts as long as you pay at the store.

Scheels, I-Tunes, Best Buy....all make great gifts for teens!
Teachers love going out to eat.....how about a gift certificate for a teacher gift?

Wal-Mart will be back in stock next week, but keep in mind, we can only order $2700 for the month, so order early in the month so you are sure to get what you want.

We have been told that the Kwik Star cards should be able to be used again to pay at the pump. We've also heard that the cards have not been working properly inside the store, Great Lakes Scrip is working to correct the problem - apparently the last few batches they sent us were bad, so please try again!

This is the last week for our contest is! The homeroom in each unit with the most orders wins Dilly Bars from Hellman's Dairy Queen.

We are working to get at least one movie rental place back on the scrip form, please be patient as we work on this!
