Caring
Ministry to Homebound, Hospitals, Care Centers
Care-giving is an important, well-coordinated service by many individuals and groups at Sacred Heart. One of the objectives is to see that the homebound and parishioners residing at Ravenwood Care Center receive Eucharist every Sunday. Eucharistic Ministers take Communion to Allen Hospital every week. The pastor and pastoral associate visit the hospitals, nursing home and homebound on a regular basis. The pastor celebrates Anointing of the Sick as requested or as needed.

Bereavement Ministry
Persons who experience the loss of a loved one are cared for through our bereavement ministry. Assistance is also offered by our funeral coordinator for planning funeral vigils/liturgies. Dinners are served by parishioners.

Parish Life Committee (Family Activities)
The Parish Life Committee promotes fellowship among parishioners. Socials and special activities are open to all, but geared to families. Monthly refreshments after Masses is also coordinated through this commitee. The biggest annual event if the Fall Festival, which is scheduled on the fourth Sunday of September each year. Other activities include bake sales, Valentine dinner, fish dinners, etc.
