Varsity Boys Finish Season On A High Note
The Varsity Boys capped off their season with a victory of St. Athanasius on Monday in fhe finals of the Metro League Tournament. After being down by 6 points at half time, the Cardinals erupted mid-way through the 3rd period and pulled ahead and maintained their lead winning by 6 points. Congratulations to the team members: Connor Watson, Andrew McGrane, Josh VanBeisen, David Schmadeke, Zach Nemmers, Michielu Menning, Shawn Robinson, and Alex Kapler. The team ended the season with a 4 - 15 record, but as noted earlier they were in most every game right down to the last minutes, and Coach Amundson has constantly praised the team for their hard work ethic in practice and games and for the fun and respect they showed to each other and their opponents on the court.
