The Cardinal Girls ended play in their basketball season by placing 3rd in the League Tournament. In the semi-final game the team lost to a fine St. John's team and then played IC-St. Joe's in the Consolation game on Friday night. Congratulations to all the girls in 6th , 7th, and 8th grade and Coaches Krieg, Gifford, and Ziegler for a fine season. The Junior Varsity Girls Basketball team finished the season in a very good way placing 3rd in the League Tournament on Saturday. The team missed playing in the Finals by one basket. The Varsity Team advanced to the semi-finals of their league tournament by defeating St. Pat's in overtime on Tuesday night. On Thursday they play top-seeded St. John's at 6:45 pm in Independence. If they win they will play in the Championship game on Friday, 7:30 pm at Columbus, if they do not they will play in the Consolation game at 6:15 pm.
