Boys Basketball Nearing Tournament Time
The Sacred Heart JV and Varsity Boys Basketball teams will be heading into league tournament play in the week before Christmas. The JV team has a current record of 5-5 and the Varsity team is 6-2 with both loses to St. Ed's. The Teams have made steady improvement throughout the season and are looking to finish strong in tournament play. The Varsity teams strongest asset is how they play defense, and this has played a major role in their success. Three weeks ago St Ed's defeated the Cardinals by 24 points in their gym and on Monday the Cardinals went down to defeat again by only two points as a last second 3-point try rimed out at the buzzer. Both teams have had a lot of fun in their practices and games as the season draws to a close. Girls Basketball and Wrestling will begin after Christmas, information and schedules will be available the week before Christmas vacation.
