With only a few days left before Sacred Heart closes for the summer the Cardinal Athletes have all ended their spring sports seasons. The Track Team had an excellent season The boys team (along with the athletes from IC/St. Joe's, Gilbertville) won the track championship for the first time ever. The girls finished in second place only a few points behind the leader. Congratulations to Coach Z and all our track athletes who had great fun and success. The Girls Softball team also ended their season on a very good note finshing in 2nd place in the league tournament. The girls lost only a couple of games all season by just a few runs. The boys baseball team with only 10 players had a great challenge this season. Although they did not win any games, most all games were very competitive and Coach Buhr said this was one of the hardest working and most fun teams he has coached. We say good-bye to our 8th graders who have been excellent students and athletes in their years at Sacred Heart, we will miss you but also will look forward to seeing you participate in various sports and activities in high school. Looking forward to next fall, just a reminder that you will need to get your sports physcial this summer to be able to practice and compete when football and volleyball practice begins this August. Information and schedules will be available on registration day.
