Wrestlers win preseason tournament

The Sacred Heart Wrestlers won their own tournament on Saturday defeating IC/St. Joe's in a very close match. The Cardinals were victoroious over St. Athanasius, and Blessed Sacrament as well. This is the 1st time in nine years that the Cardinals have defeated the IC/St. Joe's Knights.
Winter Sports Have Begun

The Cardinal Wrestling Team and Girls Basketball Teams have started practicing. The wrestlers open their season on Saturday Oct. 21 hosting their own preseason invitational wrestling tournament which starts at 8:30 am. Teams participating are St. Athanasius,
IC/St. Joe's, Blessed Sacrament and the Cardinals. The Varsity Girls basketball team will begin play the last week of October. As of this date the preseason tournament scheduled for Oct. 28 and 30 is in question because of a lack of teams. More information to follow.

Wrestling practice begins on Monday Oct. 9 at 3:40 pm and Girls Basketball practice begins on Monday Oct. 16 at 3:35 pm..
october practice schedules are available in the PE office and the Winter Sports Schedule of Contests will be available on Oct. 18.
