Wrestling and Girls Basketball Update

The Cardinal Girls basketball team is still doing very well. The varsity team has recently defeated St. Pat's, Blessed Sacrament, and IC St. Joe's. The 6th grade and JV teams have also done well. The Cardinal wrestlers placed second in the Blessed Sacrament Invitational all league tournament losing to IC St. Joe's by 3 points. A few days later they again lost a very close match to IC/St. Joe's at a dual meet in Gilbertville. Since then the team has defeated St. John's and St. Ed's. The 4-5-6 wrestling tournament will be held on Dec. 10, 12pm @ Don Bosco Gilberville and the JV-Varsity tournament will be held Dec. 17 1:30 pm @ Columbus.

Cardinal Girls Basketball and Wresting Update

The Varsity Girls Basketball team currently has a league record of 1 - 1 and and overall record of 3 - 1. The Cardinals won the preseason jamboree with victories over St. Pat's and Blessed Sacrament. In league play the team again defeated Blessed Sacrament and lost to St. John's. The JV team is 2 - 0 in league play.
The Cardinal Wrestlers are off to their best start in several years. After winning the preseason tournament the Cardinals have since were victorious in meets over Blessed Sacrament and St. Athanasius. This week on Saturday the Cardinals will participate in the Blessed Sacrament Invitational Tournament against all League teams. This should be an excellent test to see if the team is for real this season. On Tuesday November 21 the team travels to IC/St. Joe's for a repeat match against the IC/St. Joe's Knights, the Cardinals were victorious by 2 points in the preseason tournament.
