The Cardinal Girls JV basketball team placed second in the league tournament losing to St. John's by a single point. The Varsity girls team plays Blessed Sacrament on Thursday in a semi-final game of their tournament, with the finals on Saturday at St. Pat's.
The Varsity boys dropped their 4th straight game to St. John's by a single point last Thursday. The JV and 6th grade teams playing their 1st game of the season also went down to defeat.

The Cardinal Boys Basketball team lost all three of their games in the preseason tournament. The defeats came at the hands of St. Ed's, IC/St. Joe's and Blessed Sacrament. The boys begin regular season play versus St. John's with all 3 teams 6/JV/V playing on Thursday Jan.11 at home.
The Cardinal girls swept their final game of the season against St. Ed's last Tuesday with all three teams gaining victories. The JV tournament is Saturday and Monday Jan. 13 and 15, and the varsity team begins their tournament play at home on Thursday Jan. 189 at 6:15.
