The JV and Varsity Girls teams have ended their basketball season. The JV Girls finished in 4th place in the league tournament and the Varsity team finished in 5th place with a 6 - 6 record. The JV and Varsity Boys teams played St. Ed's on Monday and the JV team lost their game while the Varsity team improved their overall record to 6 - 1 with a convincing win over the Spartans. The boys will play IC/St. Joe's on Thursday away and St. John's at home on Monday Feb. 4.

The JV girls will playIC/St. Joe's/St. A in the consolation game of the League Tournament on Monday Jan. 28 at 6:10 in our gym. The Varsity girls play St. Ed's on Tuesday Jan. 22 6:15 at Blessed Sacrament. If they win they will play Thursday vs IC/St. Joe's/At. A at 5:30 pm at St John's Independence. The final games of the Varsity Tournament will be on Saturday Jan. 26 at Columbus with the 1st game beginning at 8:30 am.
The JV and Varsity boys play St. Pat's in a regular season game at home on Thursday Jan. 24, 5:30 pm. They go to St. Ed's on Monday Jan. 28 at 5:30 pm.

The JV girls team won one game and lost one game in the JV tournament on Saturday. They will play in the consolation game on Monday Night January 21 at 6:10 pm in our gym. The Varsity Girls tournament game was rescheduled to 6:15 on Tuesday January 22 vs St. Ed's at Blessed Sacrament. The finals of the Varsity Tournament will be on Saturday Jan. 26 at Columbus.
The boys team have now played two regular season games. The JV team is 1 - 1 in league play and the Varsity team is 2 - 0. The teams play at home vs St. Pat's on Thursday Jan. 24 beginning at 5:30 pm.

The Cardinal Boys Basketball team opened their 2008 season winning the league preseason basketball tournament. The Cardinals had victories over St. Athanasius and St. John's on Saturday and were victorious over St. Pat's in the Championship game Monday night. The JV team also participated in a basketball jamboree at St. Pat's on Sunday.
The Girls team was also back in action defeating Blessed Sacrament on Monday night but also dropped a game to St. John's last Thursday. The Varsity team currently has a record of 4 - 5 with one regular season game to play before entering tournament play on
January 17.
