The St. Athanasius game scheduled for today has been cancelled. All games that have been cancelled will not be made up. The last regular season game is on Thursday Feb. 28 vs St. Ed's at 5:30 pm in our gym. The JV tournament will be held on Saturday March 1, in our gym and the team will play Blessed Sacrament at 8:30 am. If they win they will play St Ed's at 9:40 and if they do not win they will not play again until Monday March 3 at 5:00 pm. The Varsity team plays St. Athanasius in a 1st round game at 6:00 pm in our gym, on Tuesday March 4. If they win they will play either St. Ed's or St. John's on Thursday March 6, 5:00 pm at Columbus. The team will also play a game on Friday at Columbus with the time depending on the success they have in the 1st or semifinal round, hopefully it will be in the Championship game which will begin at 7:30 pm.

The winter weather is on a roll and because of it several of our games have not been played and they might not be rescheduled. The Monday game vs St. Joe's NH was cancelled for the second time and will not be made up. The St. John's game scheduled for Tuesday has been cancelled and we are working on a makeup date. During the week of Feb. 25 we go to St. Joe's NH on Monday, St. A's on Tuesday, and play St. Ed's at home on Thursday. The JV tournament begins on Sat. March 1 at home, and the Varsity tournament begins on Tue. March 4 at sites to be announced. On Thursday last week the Cardinals had two very exciting games vs Blessed Sacrament. The JV lost by one point and the Varsity won in overtime after being down by 14 points at half time. The JV record is presently 2 - 5 and the Varsity is 7 - 3.

The JV and Varsity Boys teams have dropped 3 games in a row and are hungry for a game and a victory. The Varsity team lost to St. Pat's, St. John's and IC/St. Joe's. The game on Monday 2/11 against St. Joe's was cancelled due to the weather and been rescheduled for Monday Feb. 18 5:00 pm here.. The next game is against Blessed Sacrament on Thursday starting at 5:30 pm in our gym. Next week the Cardinals go to St. John's for the ony game that week as the game on Feb. 21 vs St. Athanasius has been rescheduled to Tuesday Feb. 26, 6:00 there. The JV and Varsity Tournament begin the 1st of March.
