Although the weather has really not cooperated yet, spring sports have sprung at Sacred Heart. The combined Sacred Heart / Blessed Sacrament baseball team opens their game schedule on Thursday, April 7 4:30 @ Dane Field against St. John's. The girls softball team has combined with St. Ed's and Blessed Sacrament to be the Sailors. Their first game is also on April 7, in Independence. Please note both boys and girls schedules have been changed since they were first posted. The combined CVCS schools track team has begun practice and their schedule is posted under Track.

The Sacred Heart /Blessed Sacrament Varsity Boys Basketball Team ended the regular season with a 6 -2 record and claimed the league championship. In the Varsity Tournament the team defeated IC/St. Joe's/St. A's in the semi-fianl game 64 - 54 to go to the Championship game. In the Championship the team saved their best to last and played their final game giving their best effort of the season defeating St. Ed's by a score of 64 to 54. The team was ahead 25 to 24 at the half and slowly pulled away with excellent defense and scoring to go ahead by 20 points into the 4th period. Christian Hellman, Greg Glass and Isaiah McNamee all scored in double figures, while Nate Geiger and Tyler Watson were key on defense to stop the Spartans. Others who contributed to this great season were Hunter Morehouse, Jovan Martinez, Cooper Hayes, Houston Sandvold, and Mikal Ludolph. Spring Sports begin after Spring Break
