"Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit...and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission...."
Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1213
Preparation for parents and godparents is a collaborative inter-parish program. Classes are scheduled once each month, rotating among the Waterloo metro parishes. Participation in this class is a prerequisite for infant and child baptism. The classes offer a theological update for adults as well as an overview of the ritual of baptism and how it is celebrated within the context of Sunday Mass. To register for an upcoming class at ANY time of year, contact the rectory at 234-4996.
